TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AT OUR FACILITIES

St David’s School is on one site in a residential, tree-lined road in Purley. Within five minutes walk we have our own playing field and tennis courts which are in use all the year round. Within the main building there are eight classrooms, Nursery to Form 6, where the children have their lessons.

There is a purpose-built Art and Design Technology room where all practical subjects can be taught including Science. Class teachers all have an IT workstation in the classroom and there is an IT suite where children are able to learn and advance their keyboard skills and computer knowledge. One room is set aside for class music lessons although other areas of the school are also used for peripatetic music lessons. The library is equipped with a data storage system and children are able to log books in and out by “thumbprint” ID.

St David’s employs Brookwood, a highly regarded specialist catering company, to prepare nutritious well-balanced menus for the children.  All food is freshly prepared in our kitchen and the children have a cooked lunch unless there are specific medical reasons for non-participation.  The Hall is used for daily assembly, PE lessons, lunch, dance, gymnastics and after school activities

There are two playground areas where Infants and Juniors play on a variety of equipment, supervised by the teaching and ancillary staff.

The school has recently finished developing and refurbishing the playing field.  We are now extremely proud of our all-weather multi-purpose games area and the astro-turf football pitch.  The new pavilion not only provides an additional teaching space to teach tactics, but enables us to host our home matches with traditional end of match teas.

“St David’s is a school with good old-fashioned values which brings out the best in every child”
