Our pupils from Form 1 went to the Guildford Toy Museum on Thursday 13th October as part of their Victorian History topic. On arrival, the class dressed up in pinafores and waistcoats to transform themselves into Victorian children for the day. They learnt about and played with a variety of Victorian toys, including spinning tops, skipping ropes made out of bobbins, and hobby horses.
Much fun was had learning and singing traditional Victorian rhyming games and the pupils enjoyed their visit into the Victorian classroom where they made paper hats and were shown how Victorian children were expected to always sat straight and to attention!
Photos from their trip can be seen in the Gallery.
