Netball Versatility Tournament

On Friday 17th March, Zarah, Amelie, Emerald, Riya, Emily Isabel, Iqra and I, all took part in an Under 9s Netball Tournament at Croydon High School. It was the first time St David’s had taken part in this tournament. We travelled with Mrs Palfreyman by mini bus and when we got there we were split into mixed school teams, of which there were 10. There were a number of schools competing and it was a great idea to mix the teams because it meant that we could get to know girls from other schools.

The game started with a fun atmosphere and friendly competition and this continued throughout the matches.

Amelie’s team won bronze medals, Zarah’s team achieved silver and Iqra received a ‘Most Improved Player’ certificate.

We had a fantastic time and were all looked after very well by everyone at Croydon High. A fun afternoon was had by all involved. The girls did St David’s proud and we all look forward to playing more netball over the coming months.
