The Curriculum
The Curriculum is both broad and academic and prepares the children mainly for the larger schools in the district.
Academic success is highly regarded and our aim at St David's is to help each pupil to fulfil his or her potential, whilst enabling all children to feel appreciated and valued as individuals with particular qualities.
Important elements in the ethos of the school are the religious teaching and the principles of the Christian way of life.
The Curriculum includes English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Religious Education, French, Latin, Information Technology, Art, Design and Technology, Music, Drama and Physical Education.
Although the National Curriculum documents are used as a framework for social subjects, the core subjects are delivered through the School's own curriculum. Aptitude in these core subjects is considered to be vital, but knowledge and pleasure of learning is paramount to the child's happiness and subsequent progress.
