History at St David’s is an exciting and interesting subject which allows children to develop investigative enquiry skills from a young age. Children are fascinated to learn about the where they come from and their research and discussion skills are developed by looking at major historical events and certain periods in history.
Studying topics such as Ancient Greece, The Vikings, The Stuarts, World War II, the Royal Family and family trees, Transport and Famous Women, inspire pupils to develop a love and interest in history. Through studying these topics, children begin to understand the similarities and differences between life in the past and life today.
Creative project work and trips to places such as Hampton Court are organised to bring their studies to life.
