On Tuesday 3rd October, the Chamber Choir performed at the launch of Black History month events in Croydon. The celebration took place in the beautiful Braithwaite Hall in the Town Hall and featured talks by various councillors including the Mayor of Croydon, Cllr Toni Letts OBE.
The evening was informative and the children all learned a considerable amount about Black History that they didn’t know before. The speakers made them feel welcomed and appreciated, giving them lots of praise for their performances.
The children sang 3 songs from their repertoire, Humpty, One Small Voice and Heavenly Aeroplane. They conducted themselves extremely well and each child shook hands with the Mayor which was a real treat.
