Form 6 were tasked last term with creating and running a profitable mini business. In groups, the children were allocated managerial roles to cover various aspects of business such as finance, organisation and marketing. Products were identified, had value added and were then marketed to consumers. Each business had to present to a panel of judges (like Dragon’s Den) before selling their products at the school Enterprise Fair.
The children had great fun learning about the economy, business economics and how to make money! After the Easter break, they all received certificates in assembly with the most successful pitching business and profitable business being presented with special prizes.
