On 10th June, Form 6 explored Horton Kirby to experience Victorian life. They each took on the role of a real Victorian child who attended the school and visited and learnt about their daily lives. The class examined artefacts, diary extracts and even experienced a real Victorian lesson! It was tough and some of Form 6 were punished for very small things such as being left-handed – this resulted in a dunces hat being worn whilst facing a corner. Someone was even caned! Later the class ventured into the village and discovered the houses where the children used to live and even a grave in the church for one of the class!
