On Tuesday 9th October the Chamber Choir went on their first outing of the year – to Woldingham School. Woldingham invited several choirs (mainly from central London) to their ‘Junior Choir Festival’ which was an afternoon of singing workshops and activities. The children were kept busy the whole time and were delighted when, at 4pm, they were taken to the restaurant and given a hot meal. We all loved the food but the conveyor belt which took our trays away, stole the show (see the photos)!
In the evening the parents came to watch all the choirs sing in the concert – having been treated to a drinks reception in the foyer. The auditorium turned out to be a very impressive concert hall, complete with boxes! The children stepped up to the opportunity to sing their hearts out in such a fantastic venue and did themselves proud.
We are hoping to be invited again next year!
