On Friday 12th January, the Smart Brothers visited St David’s to teach us more about road safety. In the morning, they performed an interactive show to our Nursery to Form 2 children called Zoopa Doopa which introduced the children to the five things to remember when crossing a road: Hands, Stop, Look, Listen and Think. The children particularly enjoyed meeting Zoe the zebra and Pete the pelican, who explained what zebra and pelican crossings are.
In the afternoon, the Smart Brothers presented their Road Safety Show to Forms 3 to 5, which as well as reaffirming the important message of Stop, Look, Listen and Think, covered other topics including cycling safety, safe places to cross the road, the dangers of using mobile phones/listening to headphones near the road and how to travel safely in a vehicle.
Photos from their visit can be viewed in the Gallery.
