U11 Croydon School’s Quicksticks Hockey Tournament – Oasis Academy – Monday 13th January
Congratulations to the St David’s School hockey team for a fantastic performance in this event. St David’s finished runners up and as a result have qualified for the Croydon Schools finals to be held at Trinity School on February 7th.
U11 Croydon School Football vs Greenvale School and Purley Oaks School – Greenvale – Thursday 16th January
Well done to the U11 School football team for a sound performance against two very strong teams. The team lost 4-0 in their first match and 5-2 in their second match. The league is very strong and all the boys did extremely well.
SLH Schools X-Country Competition – Woodcote – Saturday 18th January
Well done to the 24 children that represented St David’s School at the SLH event. We had some excellent performances across U9 and U11 age groups, the most notable being Noelle (Form 4) who won the U9 girls race for the second tim,e having first won the event in November.
U11 Croydon Schools Football Cup Semi Final – Kenley School – Wednesday 22nd January
Well done to the U11 team for getting this far in the tournament, despite a very good start, with the team leading 2-0, tiredness got the better of us in the second half and unfortunately the team ended up losing the match against what was a very well-drilled side.
U11 Girls Netball Match – Royal Russell – Thursday 23rd January
Congratulations to the U11 girls in their fixture against Royal Russell. The team performed extremely well against a very good netballing side. The score was a little one-sided but the girls fought as a team for every goal.
U10 Girls Netball Tournament – Caterham School – Wednesday 29th January
Congratulations to the U10 girls taking part in the first tournament of its kind. The teams playing were very strong and as a team the girls competed very well eventually coming 5th overall.
U9 Boys Football v Collingwood – Wed 29th January
Well done to the boys football team in their first match of the season. Last term they trained together and this work all came through with a resounding 6-1 win against a sound opposition.
