Warlingham Park X-country – Monday 20th February

Congratulations to the team of girls and boys who represented St David’s at this annual event. In the girls’ event there was an outstanding run from Zarah (Form 4) who finished 20th out of 75 runners. As a team, the girls finished 12th overall.

In the boys event, St David’s were defending champions and again performed extremely well, with 2 top 8 finishes for George (Form 6, 6th place) and James (Form 6, 8th place) and 2 top 16 finishes for Raul (Form 6, 15th place) and Aaryan (Form 6, 16th place) out of 80 runners. As a team the boys finished 2nd, just 1 point behind Oakhyrst Grange. Well done again to all the team.

U11 6-a-side tournament – Saturday 11th February

St David’s held the first of what we hope will be several U11 6-a-side tournaments. The weather was not particularly good, but we welcomed teams from Collingwood School; Elmhurst School and Laleham Lea.  Each match was 10 mins each way and St David’s started really well winning their first match 2-0. As a team, they went from strength to strength, also winning their next two matches 2-0. As a result, St David’s ran out eventual winners with an unbeaten record. What made these results even more special was that we had lost to two of these schools in friendlies during the season. Well done to all the team.

The next event will be an U9’s tournament on the 25th March, with the same schools involved.
