As part of their work on the Victorians, the Form 6 children spent the day at Horton Kirby Environmental Centre near Swanley exploring the village and its association with the Victorians.
The children were introduced to a typical lesson from 1900 and as part of that lesson were engaged in activities such as reading, writing and arithmetic. The class were given character names of children that had attended the Victorian School and were encouraged to find out more about their particular character.
The class also enjoyed a selection of Victorian games during break times. The trip complemented the work that Form 6 had done in class extremely well.
